Mariana Moncada - Owner

Mariana Moncada is the owner of MMPVdesign, Inc. Mariana has served developers, general contractors, and engineers at planning, design development and permitting stages of projects since 2008. Mariana’s drawings and creative collaboration help coordinate energy, budget, and site constraints for her clients during all project phases. Her work has included design development and permitting for over 600 solar projects for cities, universities, and unified school districts in California as well as over 1,000 MW in utility scale projects.  Prior to joining the solar industry, Mariana served as a project manager and architect to institutional, commercial, and residential clients in Austin, Texas.  

Mariana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Cornell University and a Master of Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin. Mariana is certified with NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards), AIA (American Institute of Architects) and is a LEED Accredited Professional.  She holds active architecture licenses in California, Arizona and Texas.

Krista Lamondin - Design Director

KRISTA LAMONDIN IS THE DIRECTOR OF PROJECT DESIGN AT MMPV. IN HER POSITION, SHE MANAGES CARPORT DESIGN PROJECTS FOR SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND COMMERCIAL SITES THROUGHOUT CALIFORNIA AND THE US. KRISTA LIKES TO FOCUS ON THE SERVICE SIDE OF THIS PROFESSION BY GUIDING CLIENTS THROUGH THE ENTIRE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION PROCESS. SHE ALSO PUTS EMPHASIS ON STREAMLINING DESIGN PROCESSES, LEADERSHIP, CREATIVITY, AND MENTORSHIP. BEFORE GETTING INTO THE SOLAR INDUSTRY, KRISTA WAS A SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER AT ARCHITECTS BP ASSOCIATES, WHERE SHE RAN THE ARCHITECTURAL PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT, CREATED AND MANAGED PROJECT BUDGETS AND SCHEDULES, AND INTERFACED WITH OWNERS AND CONSULTANTS. KRISTA GRADUATED FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI SCHOOL OF ARTS AND SCIENCES WITH A BACHELOR OF ARTS IN ENGLISH WITH MINORS IN BIOLOGY AND CHEMISTRY, AND A MASTER OF ARCHITECTURE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE. KRISTA IS AN NCARB CERTIFICATE HOLDER AND IS A REGISTERED ARCHITECT IN CALIFORNIA AND ARIZONA.

Stella Robitaille - Project Architect

Stella is a licensed architect with 17 years of architectural design and project management experience. She has served a variety of project types ranging from high-end residential to multi-family residential portfolios and international development projects.  She has Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Real Estate Development degree, each from Woodbury University.

Anya Garcia - Senior Project Designer

Anya is a designer at MMPV where she develops sets of drawings and carefully coordinates information as well as collaborates with her fellow coworkers. Prior to MMPV she worked in architecture & design firms throughout the Los Angeles area since 2006. Her work experience includes a variety of project types such as multifamily housing, retail, restaurants, and art installations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from Otis College of Art + Design and a Master of Architecture from University of California Los Angeles. In her off time, she enjoys camping, long road trips and gardening.

Jenn Besancon - Project architect

Working as an independent consultant, Jennifer Besancon has been happily helping MMPV Design since 2018. She has been a licensed architect in California since 2009 with over 15 years of experience working on a variety of project types in San Diego and Providence, RI. Jennifer graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. She loves the flexibility of being able to work from home while spending time with her family and raising two young boys.

Momina Mahmood - Project Designer

Momina is an interior architect with four years of experience in the solar carport industry and supports projects in schematic design through execution. Momina holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design Engineering from Prince Sultan University and a Master of Science in Architecture from Newschool of Architecture and Design with a minor in Neuroscience followed by Marketing certification. She is actively pursuing her LEED accreditation.

Kara Moncada - Project Designer

An aspiring interior architect, Kara Moncada is highly motivated to improve design. She has a passionate belief that great design can enhance lives and create a more sustainable future. Kara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Horticulture and minors in Art & Architectural History and Tourism Resource Management from Texas A&M University and a Master of Interior Architecture from Arizona State University.
